About The Position
The Nursing QMA - Med Tech is responsible for setting up and administering resident medications as ordered by physicians and in accordance with professional medication-administration standards. The role may also supervise CNAs as directed. In a senior living community serving independent living, assisted living, and memory care residents, the position provides personal hygiene and activities-of-daily-living assistance and monitors residents’ stability.
Requirements
- Must be licensed in the state as a Medication Aide and maintain current, active, and unencumbered licensure.
Responsibilities
- Set up and administer resident medications as ordered by physicians and in accordance with professional standards of medication administration.
- Supervise CNAs as directed.
- Assist residents with personal hygiene, including bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, shaves, and travel to the bathroom.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including meal service and feeding as needed, ambulating, turning, positioning, and providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.
- Check vital signs and weight, test urine, and record intake and output information.
