About The Position

Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital is seeking a Nursing Operations Manager to serve as the on-site administration and responsible agent for circumstances requiring immediate response, resolution, or referral. The role requires strong multitasking and prioritization skills and involves constant patient monitoring to help protect patient safety and support patient care delivery. The manager collaborates with departments to address operational and care-delivery concerns and contributes to a collaborative, compassionate, and innovative caregiver team.

This is a PRN position working varying nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM at Indian River Hospital in Vero Beach, Florida.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
• Two to three years of experience in acute care.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution, communication, and leadership.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in Nursing or a related field.
• One year of experience in a management role.
• Computer skills.
• NIHSS certification.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site administration and as a responsible agent for circumstances requiring immediate response, resolution, or referral.
• Initiate, prioritize, and resolve situations that affect patient care delivery and the safety of patients, visitors, and caregivers, collaborating with departments.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services in a unit.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to support efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.
• Monitor and adhere to the annual hospital operating budget.
• Approve or monitor expenditures, purchases, and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
