About The Position

Riverside Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture/partnership/affiliation with Select Medical, is hiring a PRN/per-diem Nursing Assistant in Yorktown, Virginia. The hospital provides inpatient rehabilitation care for people facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges associated with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. The role is scheduled for 12-hour shifts and pays $22 per hour. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered. The hospital provides an extensive orientation program to support the transition into the setting. Requirements

High school diploma/GED or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, nursing assistant certification, or experience in a related field such as medical assisting or active enrollment as an RN student.
BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Obtain patients’ vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
Assist patients with personal and daily care, including bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, and hair care.
Deliver meals and snacks, feed patients who cannot feed themselves, and document oral intake.
Safely turn and position immobile patients while maintaining proper body alignment, and participate in the mobility program.
Transport patients to designated areas, including to and from treatment centers.
