Certified Nursing Assistant - PRN/Per Diem
About The Position
Riverside Rehabilitation Hospital, affiliated with Select Medical, is seeking a Nursing Assistant for its inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Yorktown, Virginia. The hospital provides care for people facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain or spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple trauma. This PRN/per diem position offers 12-hour shifts at $22 per hour and a $1,500 sign-on bonus. The hospital provides an extensive orientation program, and the role may offer potential opportunities to move into full-time employment.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, nursing assistant certification, or experience in a related field such as medical assisting or active enrollment as an RN student.
- BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
- Assist patients with personal and daily care, including bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, and hair care.
- Deliver meals and snacks, feed patients who cannot feed themselves, and document oral intake.
- Safely turn and position immobile patients while maintaining proper body alignment, and participate in the mobility program.
- Transport patients to designated areas, including to and from treatment centers.
