About The Position

Regency Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. Nursing Assistants play a central role in providing compassionate patient care. This per diem role is based in Oregon, Ohio and requires the ability to pick up shifts at both the Sylvania and Oregon locations as needed. The schedule is day shift, with 12-hour shifts. Compensation is $22.00 per hour, plus weekend shift differentials.

The position includes an extensive orientation program. Demonstrated skills and dedication may lead to potential full-time opportunities. Part-time and per diem employees may be eligible for 401(k) after reaching 1,000 hours within their first anniversary or a subsequent calendar year.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, nursing assistant certification, or experience in a related field such as medical assisting.
• BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to pick up shifts at both the Sylvania and Oregon locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
• Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
