About The Position

Regency Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Nursing Assistants play a central role in providing compassionate care to patients. This position is based in Oregon, Ohio, and may require picking up shifts at both the Sylvania and Oregon locations as needed. It is a per diem day-shift role with 12-hour shifts and compensation of $22.00 per hour, plus weekend shift differentials.

The hospital offers an extensive orientation program to support a smooth transition into the setting. Demonstrating skills and dedication may lead to potential full-time opportunities. Per diem employees are eligible for 401(k) after reaching 1,000 hours within their first anniversary or a subsequent calendar year.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience of at least 3 years.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, nursing assistant certification, or experience in a related field such as medical assisting.
• BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient services including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters with moving patients into and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
• Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
