Nursing Assistant - Pediatric Universal Care
About The Position
UW Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) for Pediatric Universal Care at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. The role supports Registered Nurses and provides direct physical care and basic nursing procedures and treatments in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Nursing Assistants help patients with activities of daily living, repositioning, transfers, mobility, and intentional rounding. They also engage with patients, visitors, and family members to build trusting relationships and provide high-quality, patient- and family-centered care. This is a 1.0 FTE, 40-hour-per-week day/evening position. The schedule consists of two 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. shifts and two 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. shifts per week. Weekend and holiday rotation is required, and hours may vary based on departmental operational needs. Compensation may take relevant work experience into account; additional pay components include weekend and evening differentials. A $3,000 sign-on bonus may be available.
Requirements
- Graduate of a State of Wisconsin-approved Nurse Aid Training Program.
- Listed on the State of Wisconsin Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aid Registry upon hire.
- Obtain BLS/CPR certification within 3 months.
