About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - Ann Arbor is seeking a full-time Nursing Assistant (NA) for its inpatient rehabilitation hospital. The hospital provides compassionate care for individuals facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. The position is scheduled for night shifts and offers compensation of $18.95–$25.50 with a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

The Nursing Assistant supports patients with vital signs and other basic measurements, personal and daily care, meals and oral intake documentation, safe mobility and positioning, call-light responses, and transportation to treatment areas. The hospital offers an extensive orientation program and benefits for full-time team members.

Requirements

• Certified BLS, or completion of BLS within the first 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hospital experience.
• Certification as a nursing assistant; may be required based on state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care, including bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, and hair care.
• Deliver meals and snacks, feed patients who are unable to feed themselves, and document oral intake, including supplements.
• Turn and position immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment, and participate in the mobility program.
• Answer patient call lights and perform services that contribute to patients’ physical well-being.
• Transport patients to designated areas, including treatment centers.
