About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - Ann Arbor is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate care to patients in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital. The hospital cares for people facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain and spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas. This is a full-time night position. Compensation is $18.95–$25.50, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• Certified BLS or completion of BLS within the first 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• Certification as a nursing assistant preferred; it may be required based on some state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care, including bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, and hair care.
• Deliver meals and snacks; feed patients who cannot feed themselves and document oral intake, including supplements.
• Turn and safely position immobile patients while maintaining proper body alignment, and participate in the mobility program.
• Answer patient call lights and perform services that support patients’ physical well-being.
• Transport patients to designated areas, including treatment centers.
