About The Position

Munson Healthcare is hiring a Nursing Assistant to support patients and clinical staff in a safe, supportive care environment. Nursing assistants provide basic patient care, help meet patients’ personal and comfort needs, and contribute to exceptional care in the community. Munson Medical Center provides comprehensive, paid orientation and training, including for candidates with no prior experience.

Requirements

• Obtain and maintain CPR certification in adult maneuvers at all times; child and infant maneuvers may be required by some departments.
• May be required to lift more than 35 pounds.
• Employees must be vaccinated or have lab-confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella.
• Employees must receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care and services that address patients’ personal and comfort needs.
• Complete personal hygiene.
• Collect specimens.
• Assist patients with daily walking and exercise.
• Transport patients between departments.
• Observe, report, and record patients’ vital signs.
