About The Position
The Nursing Assistant works on the Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) day team at UF Health Central Florida, providing compassionate, hands-on care to patients and supporting nurses and the healthcare team. Under the direction of the Director/Manager and Registered Nurses (RNs), the Nursing Assistant assists with basic physical care and nursing procedures, provides comfort measures, and helps maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment. The role supports patient comfort, safety, and quality care throughout patients’ inpatient hospital stays.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Nice To Haves
- Post-high-school specialized training preferred.
- Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with basic physical care and nursing procedures under the direction of the Director/Manager and Registered Nurses.
- Provide comfort measures to patients.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment.
- Support nurses and other healthcare professionals in delivering patient care.
