Nursing Assistant- 3rd Shift positions
About The Position
The Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care and support services to patients and families under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or another licensed care team member. The role performs selected nursing procedures and routine duties to assist medical and nursing personnel with patient examination, treatment, and overall care. The position is associated with the 2F/G Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit, a 30-bed unit providing patient-centered care for acute telemetry patients with continuous cardiac monitoring. The unit operates in a fast-paced clinical environment. Night-shift opportunities are available. Full-time and part-time positions may be available based on department needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification, or successful completion of first-year clinical classes in nursing school and validation of a clinical consistent with the level of education.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; applicants who are not already certified must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date.
