About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides compassionate, hands-on care to residents during the 3rd shift. The role supports residents’ comfort, dignity, and overall well-being while building meaningful relationships and working alongside the nursing team to deliver high-quality care according to each resident’s individualized care plan.

Responsibilities

• Accurately document care in flow sheets, notes, charts, and related records.
• Promptly report changes in residents’ conditions to the Nurse Supervisor or Charge Nurse.
• Greet residents warmly and escort them to their rooms as needed.
• Participate in shift report and receive updates upon reporting for duty.
• Follow facility infection-control policies, including those concerning exposure to blood and body fluids.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including oral hygiene, bathing, dressing, grooming, hair care, and eligible nail care.
• Provide comfort measures, such as backrubs, as directed.
• Make and change beds, keeping linens clean, tight, and wrinkle-free.
• Help residents prepare for medical tests, appointments, and therapies.
• Support residents’ attendance at activities and social programs, including church services, events, and visits with guests.
• Safely transport residents to and from appointments and activities and within the facility as needed.
• Assist with lifting, repositioning, transferring, and ambulation using proper techniques and equipment.
• Support residents with walking, with or without assistive devices, as instructed.
