About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Nursing Assistants play a central role in providing compassionate care. This position is based in Wilmington, Delaware, inside ChristianaCare Wilmington, and is full-time on the night shift, with 12-hour shifts. Compensation is $19.70–$24.00 per hour, based on years of experience, with additional night and weekend shift differentials. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Requirements

High school diploma/GED or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Hospital experience as a nursing assistant.
Certification as a nursing assistant.
Experience in a related field, such as medical assisting or being an actively enrolled RN student.

Responsibilities

Provide patient services, including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair.
Participate in hourly rounds.
Transport patients to and from treatment centers as needed, and assist transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment, including bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs.
Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
