Georgetown FSED ED Tech PRN Mid Shift
About The Position
The Nursing Assistant II (Emergency Department Technician) works within the multidisciplinary team caring for emergency department patients under the direction and supervision of the ED Registered Nurse. The role supports patient care and department flow through effective communication and coordination, appropriate use of computer systems, and maintenance of an efficient work area. Duties also include collecting, processing, transporting, and analyzing specimens according to approved testing standards and laboratory policies and procedures, and providing patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. The position is PRN on a mid shift at Baptist Health ER & Urgent Care in Georgetown, Kentucky.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification, or successful completion of first-year clinical classes in nursing school and validation of a clinical consistent with the level of education.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; applicants who are not already certified must obtain it within 30 days of their hire date.
Nice To Haves
- Previous laboratory or customer service experience.
- Data entry and computer experience and/or phlebotomy or point-of-care testing experience.
