Supervisor Nursing Emergency Department
About The Position
The Nurse Supervisor in the Emergency Department supervises healthcare professionals and ensures high levels of patient care. The role maintains a safe environment and nurtures nursing practice to improve patient outcomes. The supervisor oversees department operations, productivity, and resource distribution to meet department priorities. The position works closely with professionals from different fields to coordinate patient care, evaluates nursing practices and incorporates evidence-based practices and research, fosters a caring environment that promotes outcomes, encourages staff development and growth, and manages resources efficiently to promote safety.
Requirements
- Bachelor's of Nursing degree or higher.
- Two years of experience.
- Previous Emergency Department RN experience.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or obtain it within 30 days of hire or transfer.
- Solid understanding of nursing standards and patient care procedures.
- Strong communication abilities and expertise in creating and assessing patient care plans.
- Familiarity with basic computer operations and diverse medical and office software applications.
