About The Position
Encompass Health is hiring a Nurse Supervisor to provide leadership and ensure that care procedures are implemented smoothly while patients receive compassionate, individualized care throughout their rehabilitation. The role supports a collaborative, team-driven environment and may involve assuming patient care as needed. The Nurse Supervisor also helps develop and implement patient care programs, policies, and procedures and serves as a liaison among administration, nursing management, and staff. This posting is associated with a hiring event on Tuesday, November 10, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the Holiday Inn Cookeville in Cookeville, Tennessee. Requirements
- Current RN licensure as required by state regulations.
- BLS certification.
- Obtain ACLS certification within one year of starting the position.
- Obtain CRRN certification within a year of meeting the eligibility requirements.
- Two years of recent experience in an inpatient hospital setting within the last five years.
- Previous leadership experience, such as charge nurse or lead capacity, with responsibility for interim reporting, issue resolution, setting direction, and accountability for patient and staff results.

- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing personalized patient care programs, policies, and procedures.
- Serve as a liaison between administration, nursing management, and staff.
- Supervise nursing care, treatment, and services during assigned shifts or on a specific unit.
- Monitor and manage staff, providing on-the-spot feedback, annual evaluations, performance counseling, and discipline.
- Assume patient care as needed and take time to understand patients’ physical, mental, and emotional needs in support of their recovery.
