Nurse Supervisor RN
About The Position
The Registered Nurse Supervisor works with nursing staff to provide positive leadership and direction for patient care. The role works under direct supervision and applies the state-specific Nurse Practice Act, company standards, practice guidelines, and nursing judgment. The supervisor oversees licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants on the assigned shift while also providing nursing care to patients, collecting patient data, making observations, and reporting relevant information about patient care. The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Requirements
- Must be a licensed RN in good standing with the state, as required.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience in nursing.
- Ability to react appropriately to emergency situations when required.
- Must be CPR certified.
- Reliable transportation is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide positive leadership and direction for patient care in collaboration with nursing staff.
- Work under direct supervision using the state-specific Nurse Practice Act, company standards, practice guidelines, and nursing judgment.
- Supervise licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants on the assigned shift.
- Deliver nursing care to patients.
- Collect patient data, make observations, and report pertinent information related to patient care.
- React appropriately to emergency situations when required.
