About The Position

Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is seeking a day shift Nurse Supervisor (RN) to provide administrative and clinical supervision to all nursing department staff throughout the hospital during their assigned shift. The Nursing Supervisor promotes quality patient care consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire. This role involves demonstrating leadership in organizing the delivery of patient care in an acute psychiatric setting for patients experiencing a wide range of psychiatric conditions. The supervisor will also supervise nursing department staff, regularly evaluate staff work performance, make effective decisions regarding patient care in compliance with facility policies and procedures, and maintain communication between hospital Administration, Nursing Administration, and department leaders.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing
Minimum of three (3) years inpatient nursing required.
Currently licensed as an RN to practice as issued by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
Successful completion of CPR and Handle With Care certification; certifications may be obtained during orientation.
Thorough knowledge of JCAHO, Medicare, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
Prior experience in a supervisory role is preferred.
