About The Position
The RN Shift Supervisor guides nursing operations during the assigned shift to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality patient care. The role provides hands-on leadership, mentors nursing staff, supports admissions, maintains compliance, and fosters a positive, collaborative workplace. The position is full-time, with hours from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM, at the Center for Behavioral Health in Maryland Heights, Missouri.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Active, unencumbered RN license.
- At least 1 year of nursing experience.
- CPR/BLS required.
Nice To Haves
- Behavioral health or geriatric nursing experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee nursing staff and provide real-time coaching and support.
- Assist with patient admissions and ensure protocol accuracy.
- Lead shift-change meetings and reinforce the organization’s “Better Way” principles.
- Participate in quality audits and regulatory compliance efforts.
- Support new-hire orientation and ongoing staff development.
- Manage supply needs and maintain operational readiness.
- Assist with scheduling to ensure adequate coverage.
