Nurse Residency Scholarship Recipients - Summer 2026 Cohort
About The Position
This position provides direct patient care in an area designated as a specialty unit in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. The Nurse Residency Program requires graduation from an accredited nursing program within the last twelve (12) months or no more than twelve (12) months of Non-Acute Care RN experience or less than 6 months of Acute Care RN experience. The RN Fellowship Refresh to Acute Care Track requires an ineligibility for Nurse Residency Program including graduation from an accredited nursing program over twelve (12) months before hire or a three (3) year period of non-practicing acute care experience.

- Registered Nurse Compact License (RN LICENSE COMPACT) - Compact RN Multistate, Registered Nurse License (RN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
- Must be a new graduate with less than six (6) months as an Acute Care Registered Nurse or less than twelve (12) months as a Non-Acute Care Registered Nurse.
Responsibilities
- Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel.
- May precept student nurses and new hires.
- Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including disposition, referral, spiritual and psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and family; provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
- Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
