About The Position

Erlanger Health is seeking Registered Nurses for its New Graduate Nurse Residency program, with the next cohort beginning in September 2026. This program is designed for new graduates and RNs with less than one year of experience, offering a structured transition into professional nursing. Erlanger is a multi-hospital health system in Chattanooga, Tennessee, known for its academic medical center and Level 1 Trauma Center. Requirements

  • Eligible for graduation from an Accredited School of Nursing with an Associate or Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing prior to employment.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and eligible to take the NCLEX for Registered Nurse Licensure.
  • Proof of graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (final transcript, diploma or letter stating NCLEX eligibility and test date).
  • Spring graduates must obtain Tennessee RN licensure by October 1st.
  • Summer graduates must obtain Tennessee RN licensure by January 1st.
  • Winter graduates must obtain Tennessee RN licensure by May 1st.
  • BLS completed prior to going to unit/department and maintained going forward.

Responsibilities
