Residency Program - New Nurse Graduates
About The Position
BAYADA’s Nurse Residency Program is a paid home-care residency for nursing graduates who have scheduled or passed the NCLEX in the United States. The program has earned accreditation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (ANCC). Nurse residents provide one-on-one nursing care to clients of all ages and with a range of diagnoses and acuity levels. BAYADA provides a six-week training program, paid training and shadowing, and ongoing clinical support by phone. Scheduling is flexible after training, and cases are matched near the nurse’s home. Nurses use electronic charting through Statewise. The role offers opportunities to explore clinical interests and develop new skills in home health care.
Requirements
- Current, valid U.S. nursing license.
- Graduation from a qualified nursing program.
- CPR certification in good standing.
- Scheduled or passed the NCLEX in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one nursing care to clients in their homes.
- Use electronic charting through Statewise.
- Participate in the six-week training program and paid shadowing.
- Provide care to people of varying ages, diagnoses, and acuity levels.
