Residency Program - New Nurse Graduates
About The Position
BAYADA’s Nurse Residency Program is a paid home-care residency for nursing graduates who have scheduled or passed the NCLEX in the United States. It is described as the only paid new-graduate residency program in home care accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Residents provide one-on-one nursing care and complete a six-week training program with paid training and shadowing. The role offers opportunities to care for people of all ages, diagnoses, and acuity levels and to explore interests and develop new skills. BAYADA matches residents with cases near their homes and provides around-the-clock clinical support by phone.
Requirements
- Be a nursing graduate with a scheduled or passed NCLEX in the United States.
- Hold a current, valid U.S. nursing license.
- Have graduated from a qualified nursing program.
- Maintain CPR in good standing.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one nursing care to clients in their homes.
- Participate in a six-week training program, including paid training and shadowing.
- Provide care to people of varying ages, diagnoses, and acuity levels.
