About The Position
Spectrum Healthcare Resources (SHR) has an opportunity for a civilian Women's Health Nurse Practitioner at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Virginia. This is a contract position in an outpatient clinic, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There are no nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call duties. The position serves a stable patient population.
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an approved OB/GYN or women’s health nurse practitioner program, or a master’s degree from an approved Family Nurse Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife program with women’s health/gynecology experience.
- National certification through NCC, ANCC, AANP, or AMCB.
- Any state license.
- Two years of experience within the past three years.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical examinations on women, including evaluating gynecological conditions such as contraception, infertility, and menopause.
- Order screening and diagnostic procedures, including ultrasound and mammography.
- Perform and interpret screening procedures, including cervical screening, endometrial biopsies, colposcopies, and IUD insertion.
- Prescribe therapies and medications.
