About The Position
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a civilian Women's Health Nurse Practitioner at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Virginia. This contract position is based in an outpatient clinic and has a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with no nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call duties. The role serves a stable patient population and offers paid time off, paid holidays, and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an approved OB/GYN or women's health nurse practitioner program, or a master’s degree from an approved Family Nurse Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife program with women's health/gynecology experience.
- National certification through NCC, ANCC, AANP, or AMCB.
- Any state license.
- Two years of experience in the past three years.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical examinations on women, including evaluations of gynecological conditions such as contraception, infertility, and menopause.
- Order screening and diagnostic procedures, such as ultrasound and mammography.
- Perform and interpret screening procedures, including cervical screening, endometrial biopsies, colposcopies, and IUD insertion.
- Prescribe therapies and medications.
