About The Position

Ascension Saint Agnes is looking for a Family Nurse Practitioner to join our Ascension Saint Agnes Health Center located on the Saint Agnes campus. The role provides full-spectrum primary care to patients of all ages within a supportive environment that emphasizes flexibility, clinical autonomy, and meaningful patient relationships. The ideal candidate will have previous clinical experience as an FNP. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Saint Agnes to provide medical services to patients. Requirements

  • Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Master's degree of Nursing required.

Nice To Haves

  • Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with a physician, provide for the expansion of individualized primary healthcare services by diagnosing and treating certain acute or chronic health conditions.
  • Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview and examination. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic studies. Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care.
  • Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
  • Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
  • Documents delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy.
