About The Position
UChicago Medicine AdventHealth has an exciting APN opportunity in our Family Medicine clinic on Archer Ave. in Chicago. This role will be part clinical and part administrative. The APN will see acute patients only for the clinic, approximately 8 patients per day. Administrative work includes triaging EMR inboxes, refilling medications, reviewing labs and controlled substances, and managing EPIC inboxes for assigned Physicians. This role will also provide coverage for physicians on PTO and medical leave.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Nursing
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- ACLS Certification
- Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Nice To Haves
- 1-3 years of experience
- Must be able to work independently and in collaboration with attending Physician
- Must have experience in full spectrum Family Medicine
