About The Position
UChicago Medicine AdventHealth has an exciting APN opportunity in our Family Medicine clinic on Archer Ave. in Chicago. This role will be part clinical and part administrative. The clinic sees acute patients only, with approximately 8 patients per day. Administrative duties include managing EMR inboxes, refilling medications, reviewing labs and controlled substances, and covering for physicians on PTO or medical leave. The role also involves EPIC Inbox management for assigned Physicians.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Nursing
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- ACLS Certification
- Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Nice To Haves
- 1-3 years of experience, preferred
- Must be able to work independently and in collaboration with attending Physician
- Must have experience in full spectrum Family Medicine
Responsibilities
