About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner provides care in a Women's Health Clinic. In collaboration with a Physician, the Nurse Practitioner assumes total patient care for designated patients and plans, implements, coordinates, and evaluates comprehensive care to ensure quality and continuity of care delivery.

Requirements

• Graduate of an advanced practice nursing program.
• Advanced knowledge and skills in the delivery of nursing services.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• Active unrestricted Class D U.S. Driver’s License.
• Current Alabama RN license, or a current Multi State RN License in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama.
• CRNP credentialed by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• Collaboration with a physician approved by the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in mobile health clinics, community health centers, federally qualified health centers, public-health programs, or other underserved healthcare settings.
• Working knowledge of providing care to populations experiencing barriers to healthcare access.
• Working knowledge of community outreach and health education.
