About The Position

UnityPoint Clinic is recruiting a Nurse Practitioner to provide care to patients in their homes in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The role is part of a fully integrated system of clinics and hospitals using EPIC EMR to support care coordination. This full-time position includes dedicated administrative time and flexible scheduling to support patient access.

Visit types include Hospital at Home, Urgent Care, and Primary Care. The usual schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an average of four to six patients per day. Providers share call on a 1:2 rotation, triaged through MyNurse. The position is salary based.

Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate.
• Board certified.
• Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa.
• Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioner's field of practice.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• ICU, ED, or Critical Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously provide high-quality care to patients in their homes.
• Provide Hospital at Home, Urgent Care, and Primary Care visits.
• Flex the schedule as needs arise.
• Participate in shared provider call on a 1:2 rotation, triaged through MyNurse.
• Evaluate and interpret information, and coordinate it to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care.
