About The Position
Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care is hiring experienced Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants for full-time opportunities in the Joplin and Springfield, Missouri area. Providers deliver high-quality care in modern urgent care centers equipped with imaging, labs, and an advanced electronic medical record integrated with Mercy (Epic). The centers offer collaborative staffing, including radiology technicians and highly trained medical assistants. Compensation includes competitive salary and hourly rates, a monthly daily-volume bonus based on patient visits per shift, and the opportunity to earn a quarterly bonus of up to 5% of clinical base salary based on customer satisfaction scores and quality measures. A sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 is offered for full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant roles. Requirements
- At least 18 months of full-time experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting.
- Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations.
- Comfort with minor procedures, including sutures, casts, and splints.
- Ability to provide preliminary reads of EKGs and X-rays.
- For Physician Assistants: a master’s degree and NCCPA certification.
- For Nurse Practitioners: a master’s degree and appropriate AANC or AANP certification.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality urgent care to pediatric and adult patients.
- Treat patients in an urgent care setting and perform minor procedures such as sutures, casts, and splints.
- Provide preliminary reads of EKGs and X-rays.
