Nurse Practitioner - FNP/PMHNP
About The Position
Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a full-time Nurse Practitioner for its detox and residential treatment facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role works a 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. shift and provides medical care to clients receiving addiction treatment. The facility offers detox and residential services and has a multidisciplinary staff delivering evidence-based clinical treatment and medical care. The Nurse Practitioner develops individual medical care plans, monitors clients, manages medications, and provides care to stabilize patients so they can participate in treatment. The role also involves ordering and reviewing medications, urine drug screens, and laboratory tests; coordinating care with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams; maintaining thorough documentation; and completing client appointment schedules.
Requirements
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS).
- State licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Indiana.
- Federal DEA certification.
- Advanced practice skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in addiction medicine or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Create individual medical care treatment plans for each client.
- Provide medical monitoring and medication management throughout treatment.
- Provide quality medical care to stabilize patients and enable them to fully engage in treatment.
- Update pharmacy orders and create urine drug screen, medication, and laboratory orders.
- Review and address urine drug screen and laboratory results.
- Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
- Maintain thorough documentation of medical interventions, consultations, and directives.
- Complete daily and weekly client appointment schedules in a timely and efficient manner.
