About The Position

MinuteClinic, a CVS Health retail health care provider, is hiring a Nurse Practitioner to deliver high-quality primary and family care in a clinic setting. The role focuses on in-person patient care; virtual visits may be provided from the clinic when onsite volume is lower and doing so will not delay or interfere with in-person care. Providers have clinical and organizational support and practice using evidence-based guidelines and assessment and treatment-planning resources. The Nurse Practitioner assesses, diagnoses, treats, and manages acute and chronic conditions; provides preventive and wellness services; and coordinates care with other healthcare professionals. The position also includes essential clinic operations such as inventory management, opening and closing the clinic, patient follow-up, insurance verification, and payment collection. Charting and follow-up are completed during scheduled shifts. Candidates must hold a master’s degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program, current national board certification through AANP or ANCC, and an active, unrestricted state APRN/FNP license. The role requires active BLS certification, the ability to pass a respirator fit test, and completion of a DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment. One year of NP experience is preferred, though qualified new graduates may be considered. Physical presence at the assigned clinic is required. The listed pay range is $41.85–$90.13 per hour or the applicable full-time salary equivalent. The role may also be eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program. This full-time position includes a benefits package, subject to eligibility.

Requirements

Master’s degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.
Current national board certification through AANP or ANCC.
Active, unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner/APRN license in good standing.
Obtain and maintain multistate licensure based on business needs.
Ability to provide holistic, evidence-based care, including counseling related to pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer sex practices.
Ability to order and administer vaccines and injections, including COVID-19, influenza, TB testing, and Depo-Provera.
Complete a DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment.
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Ability to pass a respirator fit test.
Physical presence at the assigned clinic.
Ability to perform duties involving prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
Ability to perform Basic Life Support.

Nice To Haves

One year of Nurse Practitioner experience; qualified new graduates may be considered.
Bilingual proficiency may be required depending on market needs.
Experience with the EPIC electronic health record.
Prior MinuteClinic precepting rotation if provider experience is less than one year.
Experience conducting patient assessments and exercising sound clinical decision-making in a virtual care environment.
Familiarity with digital health tools and virtual communication technologies.

Responsibilities

Deliver evidence-based primary and family care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.

Support a safe and efficient care environment through routine examinations and timely patient appointment management.
