About The Position

CVS Health’s MinuteClinic is hiring a Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality, accessible clinic-based primary and family care in the Mary Esther and surrounding areas. This is a full-time float role covering clinics within a 50-mile radius. The schedule is 30–35 hours per week and includes every other weekend. The role focuses on in-person patient care. Virtual visits may be conducted from the clinic when onsite patient volume is lower and doing so does not delay or interfere with in-person care. Providers deliver evidence-based care with clinical and organizational support, and may manage their practice with autonomy. Charting and follow-up are completed during scheduled shifts. The position includes assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions; diagnostic testing and preventive counseling; treatment of injuries and illnesses; wellness services and chronic disease management; and coordination with other healthcare professionals. Clinic operations also include inventory management, opening and closing the clinic, patient follow-up, insurance verification, payment collection, examinations, and appointment management. The role requires an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner master’s degree, national board certification, an active unrestricted state APRN/FNP license, active BLS certification, and the ability to pass a respirator fit test. A DOT certification exam must be completed within 30 days of employment. One year of NP experience is preferred, though qualified new graduates may be considered. Multi-state licensure may be required based on business needs, and bilingual proficiency may be required depending on market needs.

Requirements

Master’s degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.
Current national board certification through AANP or ANCC.
Active, unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner/APRN license in good standing.
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Complete a DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment.
Ability to pass a respirator fit test.
Ability to provide holistic, evidence-based care, including counseling related to pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer sex practices.
Ability to order and administer vaccines and injections.
Obtain and maintain multi-state licensure based on business needs.
Physical presence at the assigned clinic is required.
Ability to perform duties involving prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching, and to perform Basic Life Support.

Nice To Haves

One year of NP experience; qualified new graduates may be considered.
Experience with the EPIC electronic health record.
Prior MinuteClinic precepting rotation, particularly for candidates with less than one year of provider experience.
Experience conducting patient assessments and exercising sound clinical decision-making in a virtual care environment.
Familiarity with digital health tools and virtual communication technologies.
Bilingual proficiency may be required depending on market needs.

Responsibilities

Deliver evidence-based primary and family care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
