About The Position

MinuteClinic, part of CVS Health, is hiring a clinic-based Nurse Practitioner to deliver high-quality, accessible primary and family care. The role focuses on in-person patient care; virtual visits may be conducted from the clinic during periods of lower onsite volume when they do not delay or interfere with in-person care. Providers receive clinical and organizational support and are expected to practice holistically using evidence-based guidelines and resources.

The Nurse Practitioner assesses, diagnoses, treats, and manages acute and chronic conditions; performs diagnostic testing and preventive counseling; treats injuries and illnesses; and coordinates care with other healthcare professionals. The role also includes wellness services, chronic disease management, preventive screenings, and clinic operations such as inventory management, opening and closing, patient follow-up, insurance verification, and payment collection. Charting and follow-up are completed during scheduled shifts.

Requirements

• Master’s degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current national board certification from AANP or ANCC.
• Active, unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner license in good standing.
• Obtain and maintain multistate licensure based on business needs.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to pass a respirator FIT test.
• Complete a DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to provide holistic, evidence-based care, including counseling related to pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer sex practices.
• Ability to order and administer vaccines and injections.
• Physical presence at the assigned clinic is required.
• Ability to perform duties involving prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
• Ability to perform Basic Life Support.

Nice To Haves

• One year of Nurse Practitioner experience is preferred; qualified new graduates may be considered.
• Experience with the EPIC electronic health record.
• Prior MinuteClinic precepting rotation, preferred for candidates with less than one year of provider experience.
• Experience conducting patient assessments and exercising sound clinical decision-making in a virtual care environment.
• Familiarity with digital health tools and virtual communication technologies.
• Bilingual proficiency may be required depending on market needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling related to pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer sex practices.
• Order and administer vaccines and injections, including COVID-19 and influenza vaccines, TB testing, and Depo-Provera.
