About The Position

CVS Health’s MinuteClinic is hiring a full-time float provider in Gainesville, Florida. This clinic-based role delivers high-quality, evidence-based primary and family care, including in-person visits and virtual visits conducted from the clinic when patient volume permits and virtual care does not delay or interfere with in-person care. Providers have autonomy to manage their practice with clinical and organizational support, collaborative resources, evidence-based guidelines, and tools for assessment and treatment planning. Charting and follow-up are completed during scheduled shifts, with no work taken home. Full-time is defined as 30–35 hours per week and includes working every other weekend.

The position requires physical presence at the assigned clinic. The posted pay range is $41.85–$90.13, with the actual offer dependent on experience, education, geography, and other factors. The role may also be eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program. Full-time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, subject to eligibility.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license in good standing.
• Master’s degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current national board certification through AANP or ANCC.
• Active, unrestricted state APRN license.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to provide holistic, evidence-based care, including counseling related to pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer sex practices.
• Ability to order and administer vaccines and injections.
• Complete a DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to pass a respirator fit test.
• Ability to perform duties involving prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching, and to perform Basic Life Support.
• Physical presence at the assigned clinic is required.

Nice To Haves

• One year of Nurse Practitioner experience; qualified new graduates may be considered.
• Bilingual proficiency may be required depending on market needs.
• Experience with the EPIC electronic health record.
• Prior MinuteClinic precepting rotation, particularly for candidates with less than one year of provider experience.
• Experience conducting patient assessments and exercising sound clinical decision-making in a virtual care environment.
• Familiarity with digital health tools and virtual communication technologies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based primary and family care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Provide in-person and virtual visits from the clinic to support positive patient health outcomes.
• Perform diagnostic testing, preventive counseling, treatment of injuries and illnesses, and coordination of care with other healthcare professionals.
• Engage patients in wellness services, chronic disease management, and preventive health screenings.
• Complete clinic operations such as inventory management, clinic opening and closing, patient follow-up, insurance verification, and payment collection.
• Support a safe and efficient care environment through routine examinations and timely patient appointment management.
• Order and administer vaccines and injections, including COVID-19, influenza, TB testing, and Depo-Provera.
