About The Position

Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting an Advanced Practice Provider for its urgent care team. The provider delivers medical services to individuals, families, and groups, including annual physicals, preventive care, wellness counseling, immunizations, and health screenings. The role emphasizes health promotion and acute and chronic disease management while augmenting a physician’s ability to provide medical services. The provider collects and documents data, conducts diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, orders and schedules laboratory studies and professional consultations, and provides direct patient care.

Requirements

At least 2 years’ experience working as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
For Physician Assistant candidates: a master’s or bachelor’s degree from an accredited PA program and national board certification.
For Nurse Practitioner candidates: licensure as a nurse and approval to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Georgia, with national certification.

Responsibilities

Provide medical services to individuals, families, and groups, including annual physicals, preventive care, wellness counseling, immunizations, and health screenings.
Emphasize health promotion and acute and chronic disease management.
Augment a physician’s ability to provide medical services to patients.
Collect and document data.
