About The Position

Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting an Advanced Practice Provider to join its Urgent Care (Prompt Care) team in Appling. The role provides medical services to individuals, families, and groups, emphasizing health promotion, acute and chronic disease management, and direct patient care. The provider augments a physician’s ability to deliver medical services.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience working as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
For Physician Assistants: a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited PA program and national board certification.
For Nurse Practitioners: licensure as a nurse and approval to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Georgia, with national certification.

Responsibilities

Provide annual physicals, preventative care, wellness counseling, immunizations, and health screenings.
Emphasize health promotion and manage acute and chronic diseases.
Augment a physician’s ability to provide medical services to patients.
Collect and document data.
Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Order and schedule laboratory studies and professional consultations.
Provide direct patient care services.
