The position requires identifying illness severity in a timely manner, presenting assessments to a supervising physician, and working towards prescribing necessary care plans. The individual will perform appropriate procedures under guidance and know when and how to seek assistance. Responsibilities encompass medical knowledge, clinical evaluation, diagnostic assessment, patient history taking, patient care, clinical reasoning, organizing and prioritizing patient care, patient management, and performing procedures as defined by the clinical department. Communication skills are essential for patient and family-centered interactions, as well as inter-professional team communication and communication within the healthcare system. The role also involves practice-based learning and improvement, including evidence-based practice and reflective practice, as well as professionalism and system-based practice for patient-centered care coordination. Awareness of population and community health needs is also incorporated.
