About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for a Hematology & Oncology physician in Lafayette, IN. The role involves providing outpatient oncology and hematology care in a clinic setting from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The physician will also manage hospital consults during call weeks, including new patient consultations and rounding on existing patients. A key aspect of the role is participating in a call rotation every 4th or 5th week, covering both weekdays and weekends for emergent consults. The physician will collaborate with Nurse Practitioners who round on existing patients to ensure continuity of care. The position requires adherence to a 60-day notification for agreement cancellation and 45-day advanced notice for PTO to maintain staffing continuity.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE)
- Active IN license
- Active DEA
- BLS Certification
- No paid or pending malpractice claims; No actions reported on NPDB
- Gaps of less than 6 months
- Able to provide 3-4 professional references
- Fellowship required
