About The Position
Seeking a full-time Physician Assistant specializing in Hematology/Oncology for a locum tenens position. The role involves providing care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Responsibilities include daily rounding on inpatients (1-2 hours daily), managing 18-22 outpatient patients per day, and performing biopsies as needed. The position requires collaboration with on-site Hematology/Oncology specialists. The EMR system is primarily paper-based (80%) with some use of Meditech (20%).
Requirements
- Active RI license (or willingness to obtain)
- DEA required
- CSR required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Hematology/Oncology experience, or completion of a hem/onc rotation as a new graduate
Responsibilities
- Provide full-time Hematology/Oncology care in a mix of outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Round daily on inpatients for 1-2 hours based on consult volume.
- See 18-22 outpatient patients daily.
- Perform biopsies as needed.
- Collaborate with on-site Hematology/Oncology specialists.
