About The Position

Interior Alaska Medical Clinic is a Christian nonprofit Federally Qualified Health Center operated by Cross Road Health Ministries in Delta Junction, Alaska. They serve the Delta Junction community and surrounding Interior Alaska region, providing comprehensive primary care regardless of a patient's ability to pay. The role involves full-scope rural primary care, managing a general family medicine panel and acute/urgent presentations across the lifespan, including pediatric, women's health, and occupational health needs. The position offers clinical autonomy in a community that depends on the provider. They are open to short-term and permanent placement.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Alaska, or eligibility for Alaska licensure.
  • Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program.
  • Comfort with clinical independence and sound judgment in a rural setting where specialist support requires transfer or telehealth consultation.
  • A genuine commitment to serving underserved populations.
  • Alignment with our Christian mission and organizational values.
  • Graduate of an approved and accredited Nurse Practitioner/Physician assistant program
  • Proven competence by experience and recommendation.
  • A minimum of 5-year background in nursing, 1 year experience as NP/PA preferred.
  • Current license to practice in the State of Alaska.
  • Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, correspondence and memos.
  • Should have effective oral, written, and telephonic communication skills, including excellent verbal and telephone etiquette.
  • Exceptional customer service, time management, and multi-tasking skills are required.
  • Computer skills are needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up across a broad range of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Maintain current licensure, DEA registration, and required certifications.
  • Participate in medical staff and administrative meetings.
  • Contribute to clinical policy and procedure review as requested.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation.
  • Practice in accordance with CRHM's mission, values, and applicable policies.
