Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Behavioral Health - Inpatient - 7on 7off- ED and Consults
About The Position
Baptist Health Jacksonville is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) to join our inpatient behavioral health team, supporting Emergency Department and consult liaison services. This is a great opportunity to work in a high-acuity, team-based hospital setting with a schedule that supports work-life balance. The position involves a 7 on / 7 off schedule for an APRN with at minimum 2 years of experience, working in the ED and on consults. The role includes providing medical and psychiatric care to patients on the inpatient unit, in the ED, and on medical floors. You can expect a collaborative care model with psychiatrists, hospitalists, and interdisciplinary teams, working with a diverse and clinically complex patient population. The position utilizes the Epic EMR system and offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.
Requirements
- APRN or PA-C
- Active or eligible Florida license
- At least 2 years of experience
- Strong clinical and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Behavioral health or inpatient experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform psychiatric evaluations for ED and inpatient consults
- Assist with consult liaison services across medical and surgical units
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care as needed
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses and medications
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation
