About The Position

Provide comprehensive inpatient medical and psychiatric care to a dynamic population of more than 160 patients, as well as walk-in patients, at a behavioral health facility. Work with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurses, therapists, and support staff to develop and carry out individualized treatment plans. Assess patients, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and manage acute medical and behavioral health conditions. Prescribe, monitor, and adjust medications while considering drug interactions and patient responses. Maintain accurate medical records and communicate with the care team. Advocate for compassionate, evidence-based patient care throughout inpatient stays. Participate in an on-call rotation to support urgent needs and continuity of care. Stay current with behavioral health best practices and contribute to continuous improvement. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with no weekends.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing.
• Licensure as a Certified Nurse Practitioner and/or Physician Assistant in Michigan.
• BCLS certification.

• At least 2 years of experience as an APP.
