About The Position

This role is for a Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant within the Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology department in Norwich. The APRN/PA will provide comprehensive care for adult cardiology patients in an outpatient setting and support a busy Electrophysiology program. This includes managing cardiac implantable devices, evaluating patients pre and post-intervention, patient education, clinical evaluation, medication management, and message triage. Experience in Electrophysiology is preferred, with a focus on managing arrhythmias and knowledge of anti-arrhythmic and anticoagulation drug therapy.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Master’s Program.
• Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant (PA-C), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), or Adult Geriatric Primary Care (AGPCNP) in the state of Connecticut.

Nice To Haves

• Electrophysiology / Cardiac device experience preferred.
• Electrophysiology background preferred with experience providing comprehensive management of patients with arrhythmias, knowledge of anti-arrhythmic and anticoagulation drug therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for adult cardiology patients in an outpatient setting.
• Support a busy Electrophysiology program.
• Manage cardiac implantable devices including pacemakers, defibrillators, and loop recorders in an outpatient setting.
• Evaluate patients pre and post intervention.
• Provide patient education.
• Perform clinical evaluations.
• Manage patient medications.
• Handle message triage.
• Provide comprehensive management of patients with arrhythmias.
• Manage anti-arrhythmic and anticoagulation drug therapy.
