About The Position
At CHI Mercy Health, the Nurse PCU I works as a Registered Nurse (RN), providing compassionate, high-quality care that supports patients’ well-being and recovery. The role involves delivering individualized, comprehensive care through assessment, skilled procedures, and implementation of patient care plans. The nurse collaborates with physicians, patients, families, and the healthcare team to support optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment. The position includes caring for chronic ventilator patients and responding to emergencies. The core schedule is Week 1: Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday; Week 2: Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Student loan repayment and relocation assistance are offered.
Requirements
- Oregon RN License.
- AHA BLS within 30 days.
- ACLS within 6 months.
- One year of RN experience or current RN with CHI Mercy Health.
Nice To Haves
- Associate's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- BSN.
- PCU and/or ICU experience.
- PCCN.
Responsibilities
- Observe, collect, and record patient biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, and self-care data; formulate nursing diagnoses and measure progress.
- Implement age-appropriate care plans in collaboration with physicians, patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Administer medications with precision to support patient safety.
- Manage chronic ventilator patients, including emergency interventions.
