About The Position
At CHI Mercy Health, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides compassionate, high-quality, individualized care that supports patients’ well-being and recovery. The RN performs assessments and skilled procedures, implements patient care plans, and collaborates with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to support optimal patient outcomes. The role requires critical thinking, a patient-first mindset, and dedication to excellence in a fast-paced environment. The RN also manages chronic ventilator patients, including emergency interventions. Core schedule: Week 1: Sunday and Monday; Week 2: Wednesday and Saturday. Student loan repayment and relocation assistance are offered.
Requirements
- Oregon RN License.
- AHA BLS certification within 30 days.
- ACLS certification within 6 months.
- At least 2,400 hours within the last 24 months as a Registered Nurse in Critical Care (PCU, ICU, or ED).
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- BSN preferred.
- PCU and/or ICU experience preferred.
- PCCN preferred.
Responsibilities
- Observe, collect, and record patient biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, and self-care data.
- Formulate nursing diagnoses and measure patient progress.
- Implement age-appropriate care plans in collaboration with physicians, patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Administer medications safely and precisely.
- Manage chronic ventilator patients, including emergency interventions.
