Registered Nurse - PCU

Carenest Health Services•Columbus, OH

About The Position

Provide nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), maintaining an approximate nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5. The role uses IV-start and telemetry-monitoring skills and requires familiarity with Epic for documentation. The schedule is three 12-hour day shifts, with weekdays, occasional weekends, and rotating holidays. The nurse must be willing to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity. Parking information provided for the role includes WMC, WB, and CXS permits. The WMC monthly permit offers 24/7 access to the Wexner Medical Center Garage for $224.80 per month or $748.58 per 100 days. WB and CXS permits require annual upfront payment and are not available monthly. WB costs $196.20 per year and provides specified garage access on weekends and holidays, plus 24/7 access to West Campus lots with shuttle service. CXS costs $393.96 per year and provides specified garage access on weekends and holidays, plus 24/7 access to Buckeye CX and West Campus lots. WB parking includes Carmack Lots 2 and 3, approximately 1.7 miles from the medical center; the Pink Shuttle runs every 3–5 minutes during peak times and reaches the medical center in about 8–9 minutes. Weekend garage access runs from Friday at 2:00 p.m. through Monday at 8:00 a.m.; regular hourly garage rates apply outside those hours. Prorated refunds may be available for unused future months on annual permits; current and prior months are not refundable. To avoid the next charge, cancellation must occur by 6:30 p.m. on the last business day of the month. Refund checks may take 3–5 weeks. The posting characterizes WMC as the closest option with guaranteed garage access, CXS as a lower-cost option with multiple parking locations, and WB as the lowest-cost option with frequent shuttle service.
