About The Position

Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Nurse Manager for their 2BCE Intermediate unit. This is a full-time position working 40 hours weekly on days. The Nurse Manager is responsible for organizing and supervising the staff in their department, programs, budgets, schedules, payroll, and equipment. They provide leadership through communication, relationship-building, a strong knowledge of the healthcare environment, and business skills. The Nurse Manager functions as an extension of the Director of their department by implementing policies, procedures, and standards of the hospital within the unit managed. The 2nd floor Intermediate Unit is a 34-bed unit specializing in Progressive Care (PCU) or intermediate nursing. With nurse-to-patient ratios of 4:1, the team provides high-quality care to adult patients with complex medical needs. The unit is composed of both experienced and new graduate nurses, and they work as an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality, patient-centric care. Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited BSN or MSN program.
  • Current IN or compact state RN license required.
  • Three (3) years nursing experience required.
  • One (1) year charge nurse or supervisory experience required.
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred; If no current Master's degree and not pursuing, must obtain national certification in leadership within 2 years.
  • National specialty certification and/or National certification in Nursing Leadership preferred.
